Miscik's secret CIA memo
Through an aide, Miscik told Goss, "Sometimes saying no to the Vice President is what we get paid for" and then Miscik sat down and wrote her boss a memo. She doesn't have a copy of that one-page memo; it's classified, so even she can't see what she wrote. But here is what Miscik recalls writing:
"This is just the sort of thing that had gotten us into trouble, time and again. Telling only half the story, the part that the Administration wants to tell, and keeping the rest classified. This is wrong to be playing in a political debate. Eventually, it comes out and it looks bad, real bad, and we lose moral capital."

But rumors have always swirled around the death of The Doors frontman and, 36 years later, a former Paris nightclub manager is telling a different story. In a new book, Sam Bernett says that Morrison died in a toilet stall of his club after what he believes was a heroin overdose.

'Stealth advertising' sliding under radar into TV newscasts
Advertisers messages are infiltrating small-market television newscasts at about the same percentage that owners of digital video recorders are skipping the commercials, say researchers at the University of Oregon.
Whats disturbing about this trend of stealth advertising is that viewers seldom are aware of potential slants in coverage because the connection of a story to an advertiser rarely is disclosed, said Jim Upshaw, a professor of journalism. Stealth advertising, he said, uses commercial messages that are intended to promote a product or service that are cloaked in some other garment than a normal commercial.

The Untouchable, Unstoppable Ron Paul
First they tried to ignore him, then they tried to embarrass him, and now the attack dogs are out in full- force. In a desperate attempt they are trying to dig up any dirt from his past, but Ron Paul doesn't have any skeletons in his closet. He is a model of consistency, which can't be said for most politicians. The hit pieces are mounting, and many are trying to misrepresent him and his message, but to no avail. You must be doing something right when you are getting attacked from all sides. If Ron Paul has no chance of winning and he is nothing more then a second-tier candidate, as many are suggesting, why is there such a concerted effort to discredit and silence him?
